M&M’S caramel peanut tartlets

Recipe Ingredients:
Chocolate Pastry Crust:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup confectioners’ (icing) sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 2 tbsp ice water
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1/4 cup M&M’S Peanut, chopped
Caramel Filling:
- 2/3 cup heavy or whipping (35%) cream
- 3 tbsp dulce de leche
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips, melted
- 1/4 cup M&M’S Peanut, chopped

Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes (+15 minutes standing time)
- Chocolate Pastry Crust: In food processor, pulse together flour, confectioners’ sugar, and cocoa powder. Add butter; pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add ice water and vinegar; pulse until incorporated and dough just comes together. Pulse in chopped M&M’S Peanut.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and position rack in center oven.
- Divide dough into 12 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Flatten to 4-inch round and press into bottom of lightly greased muffin tin. Freeze for 15 minutes. Using fork, prick pastry all over.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until pastry is crisp and set. Let cool completely on wire rack.
- Caramel Filling: In medium bowl, using electric mixer, whip cream until stiff peaks start to form. Beat in dulce de leche, vanilla and salt.
- Divide filling among pastry crusts. Drizzle with melted chocolate and garnish with M&M’S Peanut.
Tip: Store tartlets in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 1 week. Bring to room temperature before serving.
